Welcome. Let me tell you a little about myself.
I've always been a keen artist and enjoyed drawing since I was able to hold a pencil. Throughout school, Art was the subject I was drawn to most and went on to achieve a double AVCE award. I followed this up with a Foundation Art Degree, during which I studied both Graphic Design and Illustration.
I started out painting Wildlife using the more traditional acrylics on canvas but in late 2017 I decided to experiment with Digital Art and quickly discovered the joy and freedom painting using this medium afforded me.
Let me explain a little about digital art. The process is almost identical to painting on canvas in that I first sketch out my image and then I begin to "paint", building up the layers with thousands upon thousands of tiny "brushstrokes" to create the depth and intensity of colour to realise my vision. The only difference from traditional painting is instead of holding a paintbrush and working on canvas, I am holding a stylus pen and working on a tablet! Each piece takes between 10 to 100 hours to complete.
